TRAMA:
Per un errore del computer del Ministero Marco Tullio Sperelli (Villaggio) finisce a lavorare a Corzano, in provincia di Napoli.
La classe sarebbe di una ventina di ragazzi, ma lui al suo arrivo ne trova solo tre.
Gli altri deve andarli a raccattare in giro, tra piccole storie di ordinaria povertà e di microcriminalità.
I ragazzi cominciano ad aver fiducia nel nuovo insegnante, ma proprio allora arriva la notizia del nuovo trasferimento al Nord del maestro.
Il libro del maestro D'Orta da cui è tratto il film era soltanto una raccolta di temi scritti da bambini di scuola elementare e poteva riassumersi col sottotitolo: "come far divertire gli adulti alle spalle di bimbi ignoranti".
A questo la Wertmüller ha aggiunto una storia, un personaggio principale e un finale edificante.
