TRAMA:
Nonostante non faccia parte di un grande studio legale e il suo ufficio sia la sua auto, l’avvocato Mick Haller (Matthew McConaughey) sa come muoversi all’interno delle aule di un tribunale.
Per questa ragione viene contattato per difendere Louis Roulet (Ryan Philippe), un giovane miliardario di Beverly Hills accusato di stupro e tentato omicidio nei confronti di una prostituta.
Louis dichiara sin da subito la propria innocenza ma toccherà a Mick, con l’aiuto dell’investigatore privato Frank Levin (William H. Macy), far luce su quanto realmente accaduto, mettendo a repentaglio anche la propria vita.
