TRAMA:
Povero ed onesto contadino ma abilissimo tiratore Dan Evans deve scortare fino a Yuma il bandito Ben Waden.
Ma i banditi lo asserragliano nella cittadina, e dovrà riuscire a saltar fuori all'ultimo minuto insieme al prigioniero e a tuffarsi nel treno.
Ottimo western con venature psicologiche, costruito su una serratissima unità di tempo, luogo e azione.
Nella tensione tra individuo e comunità può ricordare "Mezzogiorno di fuoco".
Suspence mozzafiato nel finale, celebre canzone di Frankie Lane a far da leitmotiv.
