TRAMA:
Poco prima dello scoppio della guerra un giornale americano manda in Europa un giovane e dinamico reporter. Egli partecipa ad Amsterdam ad un congresso internazionale pacifista. All'uscita dei congressisti uno dei capi del movimento viene ucciso. Il giovane reporter si lancia sulle orme degli assassini e scopre che lo statista non è stato ucciso, ma è tenuto prigioniero in un mulino abbandonato donde è trasportato per via aerea a Londra. Il vecchio statista è a conoscenza di un segreto politico che interessa una potenza estera i cui agenti cercano inutilmente di sapere. Alla testa del complotto sta il capo dell'organizzazione pacifista inglese che tradisce il proprio paese e la propria missione e la cui giovane figlia, ignara di tutto, ama, riamata il giovane reporter. Alla fine la trama è scoperta e il vecchio statista viene liberato. Intanto è scoppiata la guerra; il falso pacifista insieme alla figlia fugge su un aeroplano americano, sul quale viaggiano però anche il reporter e un agente di polizia. L'areo viene abbattuto da un caccia tedesco: il traditore perisce nelle onde mentre i due giovani vengono salvati da una nave americana.
