"American Graffiti" è un film del 1973 diretto da George Lucas.
Il film è un omaggio nostalgico del regista alla sua gioventù ed a quella dei ragazzi degli anni '60, attraverso un carosello di situazioni comiche, patetiche, grottesche e sentimentali, vissute da quattro amici nell'ultima serata passata assieme prima di separarsi.
Questo lungometraggio, malinconico ed autobiografico, lanciò la moda del film nostalgico ed è rimasto nella memoria anche per la sua indimenticabile e pervasiva colonna sonora.
Il film ottenne incassi straordinari, vinse il Golden Globe e conquistò cinque nomination all'Oscar.
