TRAMA:
A qualcuno piace caldo è un film del 1959 diretto da Billy Wilder, ambientato nel 1929 a Chicago nell'epoca del proibizionismo, che racconta la storia di due musicisti squattrinati rimasti senza un lavoro: il sassofonista Joe (Tony Curtis) e il contrabbassista Jerry (Jack Lemmon). Diventati testimoni involontari della strage di San Valentino - condotta dalla banda del boss mafioso Al Capone - sono costretti a scappare per evitare di essere uccisi. Per far perdere le loro tracce al gangster, Joe e Jerry prendono la folle decisione di farsi assumere in un'orchestra composta da sole donne e in partenza per la Florida, travestendosi e camuffandosi sotto le mentite spoglie di due musiciste jazz, Josephine e Daphne.
Durante il viaggio in treno diretto a Miami, le due musiciste in incognito fanno conoscenza con altre componenti del gruppo, in particolare con Zucchero Kandinsky (Marilyn Monroe), una bellissima suonatrice di ukulele con il vizio dell'alcool e alla disperata ricerca di un miliardario da sposare. Joe si innamora fin da subito di Zucchero, al punto tale che per conquistare la bella ragazza si finge un miliardario in vacanza a Miami, di nome Junior.
Per riuscire nel suo piano, il musicista approfitta dello yacht del vero magnate miliardario Osgood Fielding II (Joe E. Brown), che nel frattempo è impegnato a fare la corte a Daphne, alias Jerry, di cui si innamora perdutamente, ignaro del fatto che si tratti in realtà di un uomo. Ma la messa in scena architettata dalla coppia di amici non potrà andare avanti a lungo, soprattutto perché nell'hotel in cui alloggiano si trova casualmente anche la famigerata banda di Al Capone...

CURIOSITÀ SU A QUALCUNO PIACE CALDO
Il film si è aggiudicato nel 1960 il Premio Oscar per i Migliori costumi.

Tony Curtis ha affermato che Marilyn Monroe si presentava sul set regolarmente con ore di ritardo. Inoltre aveva serie difficoltà a memorizzare le battute e il regista fu costretto a scrivergliele su una lavagna, così che le potesse leggerle mentre recitava.

Marilyn Monroe è riuscita a sbagliare per 59 volte la scena del film in cui chiede semplicemente "Dov'è il bourbon?".

TRAMA:

Il capitano della polizia Greer ha bisogno di volontari per una missione suicida: incastrare una terribile gang di narcotrafficanti.
