TRAMA:
Durante un esperimento di telepatia avvenuto alla Consec, una potente multinazionale che si occupa di armamenti, accade un incidente: il soggetto dell'esperimento muore. Il dottor Ruth rivela ai dirigenti della società l'esistenza di una organizzazione formata da Scanners, individui dotati di una potente forza telepatica. Il dottor Ruth introduce un certo Vale dell'organizzazione. Vale scopre però cose grosse: Keller, capo dei servizi di sicurezza della Consec, è un affiliato dell'organizzazione avversaria, e lo stesso Ruth è l'inventore di un farmaco, l'Ephemerol, causa di questa deformazione che crea gli Scanners. Keller uccide Ruth, diventato un pericolo; Vale uccide Keller. Lo scontro ora è inevitabile tra Vale e Revok (capo degli Scanners) in una lotta ai limiti del parossismo e del paranormale: Vale distrugge Revock, dopo aver appreso di essergli fratello ed entrambi figli del dottor Ruth.
